Personal:

I used to run competitively, and maybe I will do so again someday.  Right now I am primarily running to try and get in better shape, and to maintain both physical and emotional health, but also for the simple joy that comes when I run.

I am also the proud daddy of five little ones.  I love the opportunity that I have to be a daddy, and my challenge is to balance my family responsibilities with work and running.

I ran 8 miles on the indoor track at ISU in 1:02:50, with an average HR of about 150 bpm.  Even when I was running slower than 8:00 pace my HR was still in the mid 140's, and I required a 4:54 1500m at the end of the run just to dip under an 8:00 average.

I was not feeling well this morning, so I slept in later than normal.  As a result I had no time to run today, but I did end up running too and from school because it snowed, and I did not feel comfortable riding my bike.

I ended up running 3 more miles on Thursday and Friday, just running to school.

The only running I did this week was running to and from school, which gave me a total of 9 miles.  I rode my bike to school on Thursday as it was the only day this week where the sidewalks were clear enough for me to feel comfortable on a bike.
