Personal:

I used to run competitively, and maybe I will do so again someday.  Right now I am primarily running to try and get in better shape, and to maintain both physical and emotional health, but also for the simple joy that comes when I run.

I am also the proud daddy of five little ones.  I love the opportunity that I have to be a daddy, and my challenge is to balance my family responsibilities with work and running.

I ran a little church race this morning.  I am not really sure how long it was, but I ran a 15:47 (official time of 15:48 but I don't trust their timing, because they seemed to have messed it up a little).  I really just ran it for fun, but I did not feel so hot.  A couple hundred meters in I already felt tired.  I also was coughing up a bunch of flem, which is odd for me.  Second place finished almost 3 minutes behind me.  Afterward, I went home and then ran 10 more miles in 1:09:38 to get 16 miles for the day.

On a side note, Kimia and I found out a few days ago that we are having a girl!  We are excited to be adding a little one to the family in a few months.

I bet everyone was like, "Ah, man. Br. McLellan's running today?" Nice job. Sometimes a good run helps to clear you up, and sometimes it makes it worse.

Big congrats on the exciting news!

Congratulations on the race, Jeff. More importantly, congrats on the news about your little girl on the way. Congrats to you and Kimia.

Congrats on the news. Hope you can take advantage of your 2nd place St George prize before the baby comes! My wife and I went out to the spa when she was pregnant with Seth. A little pampering goes a long way.
