Personal:

I used to run competitively, and maybe I will do so again someday.  Right now I am primarily running to try and get in better shape, and to maintain both physical and emotional health, but also for the simple joy that comes when I run.

I am also the proud daddy of five little ones.  I love the opportunity that I have to be a daddy, and my challenge is to balance my family responsibilities with work and running.

I have noticed that my knee aches a little bit whenever I go up stairs, so I decided to try and run a little bit again today, and made a point of running uphill to see if my knee would hurt or not.  Within just a few minutes my knee was starting to bother me, so I stopped running.  My knee ended up feeling achy and sore for pretty much the entire rest of the day.

I ran about a half mile today (on relatively flat ground this time) to see if the soreness from yesterday would persist.  Thankfully there was no soreness today.
