Sub 2:19:00 marathon Personal: I used to run competitively, and maybe I will do so again someday. Right now I am primarily running to try and get in better shape, and to maintain both physical and emotional health, but also for the simple joy that comes when I run.
I am also the proud daddy of five little ones. I love the opportunity that I have to be a daddy, and my challenge is to balance my family responsibilities with work and running. |

| I felt good, but I kept the run short because I just started running recently after a stress fracture. 31 min. | Comments(1) |

| I haven't been running much since my stress fracture and this is the first time that I have run three days in a row since I got injured. Because of this I kept the pace slow at about 7:30 pace.

| I probably shouldn't have run so many miles today, but I felt ok so I kept going for a while after I should have stopped. I went running at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, Washington with my brother, some of his friends and their high school cross country coach Ben Mangrum. The run was through lots of trails and was pretty muddy with lots of rolling hills. That kept it a bit slower, but we were still running at about a 7:00 pace throughout (although the effort felt more like a 6:30). Because I went farther than I should have I will probably only run a couple of miles tomorrow just to get moving for a little while. | Add Comment |

| I traveled back to Utah from Washington today. My day started really early going to the airport after I stayed up late getting ready to leave. I took a nap on the plane and then after getting to Provo I had to move. My initial plan was to run a couple of miles after I got into Provo, however I grossly underestimated how long it would take me to move and organize my things. By the time I was done it was already past 9:30pm and I was so tired at this point that I just went to sleep.
