Personal:

I used to run competitively, and maybe I will do so again someday.  Right now I am primarily running to try and get in better shape, and to maintain both physical and emotional health, but also for the simple joy that comes when I run.

I am also the proud daddy of five little ones.  I love the opportunity that I have to be a daddy, and my challenge is to balance my family responsibilities with work and running.

I ran 6 miles this morning in 43:22. This was my first run after the marathon. I am surprised at how quickly I have been able to recover after this marathon in comparison to the last 2. I am still sore, but it is not too bad. I will probably do no more than 6 for the rest of this week just to be safe.

I thought it would be kind of fun to post this picture that the ksl camera guy took of my 5th place check from the marathon on Saturday.

Yeah, I'm with Burt- did it bounce?

From jeffmc on Thu, Apr 23, 2009 at 14:36:36 from 76.27.82.171

thankfully the check didn't bounce. It was small enough that it would have been pathetic if it would have bounced

Ha! Let's see...20 years of expenses plus interest and inflation...
